Gone

It has been some time since i last blog... have been trying to keep myself busy these past few days... just not to think about it...

But i guess i shall write it down and re-cap what has happened... @ least i wont forget that maybe a few years down the road...

Went back on the 2nd night and 3rd night ( thur )... we basically did noting much except for chanting some "jing" for my grandmother... Although the atmosphere was very sad... i was quite pissed off when some of them "dont have such feelings"... I shant name who they are... but when we were praying and chanting, there will be these group of people ( us ) that seems to be more interested in how are those coming to pay respect... They will be like turning their head over and peek and smiling and signaling those not involved in the chanting to serve the guests... cool man...

Stayed round 12+ before heading home and sleep before getting ready for work...

Friday...
Went to office as usual... did some work... Was initially going back to HUB with edmund to get our passes done... but then... seems like they are having a celebration for those having birthday on October... and seems like i was the only one... another guy who was having the same monthly birthday was busy with the user... thus, they celebrated the birthday for me...

Went back to my ah ma house... as usual... everyone was there... ate mcdonalds before going in... heard tonight will be the "last" night that we be accompanying my ah ma... we started chanting... taking breaks in-between... for a total of 5 repetition... we then started to move the "paper house, cars etc" and got ready to burn them...

We bring those to the place allocated for us to burn... those big metal container... but #$%^&#^... some clever *&^%$% park his big &*&^%^& truck beside it... and worse still... we have already pour all the paper money etc into the container... what to do? Everyone LL scrape out and lay it by the dustbin area and burn... doing that is a wrong move... cause the floor board collapse and almost the whole thing crumble to the ground...

Of course... we did what we can... i mean before doing all that movement... juz because a god damm lorry was there... we tried to call the company... tried to find out where he lives... in the end... i even manage to open the back of his truck ( because he never locks it ) and found 4 trollies... anyway... we re-gathered all the paper stuff and lit up the thing... it was quite fast though... just voooooommmm........

My ah-gor assigned me and her daughter husband to "look after the fire"... we toss and turn the paper... tryin to burn everyone of them... when ah fang husband asked me why i did that... i say... we indented (folded) 10000 dollar... then later burn only 5000... the other 5000 give who... all half burnt... LOL...

Still being quite pissed... i took a few of the left overs paper money and started pasting it onto the damm lorry windscreen... using its wipers to keep it in place... i stood back and admired my work... initially also wanted to puncture his tires... screw his 4 trollies... doesnt he has any brain? The container so big beside there... some more we placed a chair at the lot where he cleverly removed it so he can park...

We continued to toss and burn the stuff... my bro bought along a wok and some cooking stuff.. placed it on the floor... poured "some" oil cause it was for my ah ma to cook... but i think he poured enough to deep fry chicken wings...

The whole burning process take some time though... of which... i don knoe la... just felt not very good... when the fire died down... i went back to remove all the paper money... but put 1 at both side of the door handle... spitting at the windscreen... and left...

Think not bad le hor... i could have become a devil... ABC... really cannot use head think one... the more i think of it... the more i am angry....

We went back... and suddenly everyone seems to be "missing"... we initially said that as tonight is our last night, everyone will stay by my ah ma side... but... well.. in the end... left me, my dad, my ah gor 2 daughter with their husband.... cool eh...

We went back and have a shower before heading down again... brought my sister laptop and did some work... but in the end... fell asleep....

*i think i go sleep now... damm shack typing ya know... think i continue tomolo... ZZZzzzz

24th Oct... The 2nd Day...

Back to work...
Noting much to do though...
Trying to understand the migration stuff that they usually do over here...

Went to the wake yesterday night again...
Did some looooooong prayers and finished around 9+...
ate my mcdonalds later... and stayed to do some talking cock...

Did noting much on my "great" birthday except to TRY to fix some bugs my colleague has...
He's kinda freek as he can do up codes on the fly.
But its kinda new experience... ;) i have been there once before i guess.. :P

Still feeling sad about my grandmother death...
When we say "ah mi tuo fuo" and walk around in circles... that kinda feeling is still very sad...
Heard they say that they will be putting the obituary in the newspaper...
Maybe i will keep one for memo...

Well... now still doing noting @ work...
But looking through all those papers etc...
And trying to stay awake...@ least got some sleep yesterday night...
Well... talk later... maybe tomolo during office hours again ba...
hahaha...

Rest in peace... My grandmother

23rd Oct 2007.
- 7am.
Received call from my grandfather. Asking my dad to rush down to house. Say grandmother not feeling well....
-7.45 - 8am.
Finally reached grandmother place after heavy traffic jam with rain. Realized she has passed away. 2 police officers were standing by the door... and i just realized that in the front carpark... was just my dads car and the police car...

I think i finally know the reason why our body is warm... though i might be warm due to my fats... but its still warm... When i saw my grandmother... i just cant say anything but tears just flow down my face... It was just too sudden... But when i hold her hands... it was that bitter silent coldness that no words can describe...

She just laid there... as though as if she was sleeping... the maid was beside crying... and my grandfather was just beside telling everyone about what has happened... but no one seems to be listening...

She woke up early this morning and getting ready for dialysis's... complained about backache and the usual stuff... changed her clothes... and laid on bed as usual while waiting for the time to be fetched to the center... She asked the maid over and mumbled something about going home... the maid went to do her washing... and when she return... thats all it says... the cold dead silence in the room and her sleeping there...

Why didnt I called the ambulance in the morning to check her out? Why didnt my grandfather did ANYTHING? Why it was all still all right the last time i see her? Why was it raining and jamming all the way? Why 23rd Oct? Why..........................

Tons of questions are in the head... but none can be answered... as we all stood in the room... filled with sadness...

I took a few deep breath... and proceed back to work... I had no choice... i cant let this affect me... was back @ MFA around 9.30 and started work... I am glad that my bosses and colleague showed utmost concern... they even ask me if i need the day off and get some compassionate leave... but that makes me even more determined to at least continue the day... at least....

My boss gave me some "pei kim"... that makes me even more sad and ashamed... i just don feel right...

Worked on a small bug... and managed to fixed it... though it was my first amendment, i do not feel happy or anything about it... just the feeling in the morning...

Came back to my grandmother place... everything was set up properly... everyone was there... she laid there silent as usual... i changed to my white shirt, wear the blue tag, and lit the joss stick... the mood was heavy... like i said... no one really expected it... stayed there till everyone leaves... until i got notice that my ah gor is coming back tonight as was overseas due to some business... i just stayed there... and just stared into space...

2.30am...24th Oct 2007...
Nigel called me and ask me to prepare for my ah gor... she just cried all the way... kneeling... ke tou... begging for forgiveness... its the 2nd time she left her side... but she did not make it this time... the kuei chap that they eat every weekend... all gone... in just like that... worse still... my grandmother has not taken her breakfast before she left... but like what my supervisor said... at least she went very peacefully... no struggle... noting...

The maid also came crying... begging for forgiveness for not taking care of my grandmother... everyone was crying... supporting each other... sorry... sorry... was all that is heard in the night...

My ah gor lit the joss stick... telling my grandmother that she will not cry... its all just a matter of words... who wont... in that scene...

I drove back home to freshen up and get ready for another day... strangely enough... 23rd was the maid birthday... 24th was mine... 25th was my ah gor husband... and 30rd was my mothers birthday... all these...... i dont know how it adds up... but it just made me feel more sad... though my birthday is usually a small scale... sometimes... we do do a get-together to celebrate...

I dont know how i am going to get to work later... maybe just put on a smile and treat as if noting has happened... but no matter how strong i am outside... i believe everyone has a weaker core...
Oh well... what can i say... i dont know why i am writing this is the middle of the morning... but yea... let me get some sleep... if i can...

Peace my grandmother... though we seldom talk... cause usually i be dead asleep in the living room... but.... yea....its just too sudden to have any closed ones parting... forever...

First Week of work.... surviving... ;)

Hehehehe... First week of work! And its over.. ;)
Did noting much for the first week.... just idling around till thursday and friday where i m given a very bird eye view of the apps that i be supporting... Btw, i m the "tech-support" guy that the upper people called when they have problems... and in worse case scenario, the one who will add on the functions / requirements that they needed.

I realized that i am a very SMALL FRY in this BIGGGGGGGGGGGG ocean... ;) My friend was saying that i am a plankton... IDIOT!... But in the chart, i am really down to the last bit..hahaha!

My direct boss is a guy ( sadly )... but he dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm stressed one.... Cause heard he is the one supporting the ministers... He was sick though.. lol.. when i joined i mean.. :) so that means +1 more day of slacking.. :)

But above him are 2 more female bosses... ;) dont know why but the chart always like place males under females.. hahaha..

When edmund and me went in, about 5 ppl were "quitting"... dont know why.. but only 1 was from our "dept". Was it the stress of the job? But in return... we got about 2 hours of lunch time that day @ Jacks place.. though yea... we paid for our own food.. URG!

Thursday and friday was the time where i really started learning the apps... Did some playing around with the apps and lots of questions are being asked to my boss... But he just told me to relax...

Leaving from work with edmund is getting from bad to... worse? We left round 6 first day... 615 2nd day... 630 3rd day.... 645 4th day... and bout 7 the 5th day... hahahah!
Round robin eh... My boss was saying... If u have noting to do... better leave... I take this down.. ;)

But seems like all very busy especially on friday ( where i was initially to leave round 5.30 ) cause everyone was doing "migration" and seeking permission.. ;)

Well... gota jia you on monday to test out the apps... and luckly for me.. i got my own internet in office... Phew.. :)

My friend edmund on the other hand... is quite an a**hold.... he was in charge of the WEBSITE! GOD DAMM IT! i wish i was in charge of that... but i be doing APPS instead... same pay... more shit.. ;) but who cares... ( i do a little ) ... cause the motive of this job is to gather exp.. ;)

Oh well... did noting much today on a sunday... quarreled with me dad... and he just returned to his office... well.. i had much to do anyway... :) helping out with video encoding and some design stuff and well... lots of things.. ;)

My sister iPod battery was kinda dead... so i ordered a replacement of the web... but they kinda sent a wrong battery over... and was forced to wait a while for the new one to come... ;) but here i managed to "dissect" the iPod... ( just a matter of releasing the clips... hahaha... )... Tools are provided by them with instruction manual... cool eh... ;)


Well... u be seeing the last of an "ORIGINAL" iPod... Now... lets being the surgery...


I was told to SOLDER the points... ( but i don have a solder... ) so i thought of using.... YEA! BLUE TAG! :)
But.....


It just works ONCE... the next time the iPod boots up... it goes in an ultimate loop of powering on and off.. ;)


So lets try... attaching to the main point?
Urm... anyway.. it doesnt work... so i go back to the office and use my solder instead...
But it works.. ;) and all these is done @ S$12... ;) My sis iPod is back to life.. ;)

Went shopping today with my family... no gf.. life sucks..

Went down to NCS and ST for interview... but in the end... only NCS offered... The ST has to go for another interview. After weighing the options, i think i go with NCS, cause think safer la... later ST that side interview le... then FAILED how?

Went to bBq with classmates... not bad... but sad cause like a farewell party.... some more NEVER THAWN! ABC.... i was all geared up but ended up in my bed.. hahaha!

Will be starting work next monday lo! Hope that side got more chio bus.. hahahah!
But problem is its all LONG SLEEVEEEEEE!
